Chelsea have secured a deal to sign 16-year-old Brazilian prodigy Gabriel Mec from Gremio for £20.5 million.
The highly touted midfielder will undergo a medical in Brazil before putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Premier League club. However, due to Brazilian regulations, Mec will remain at Gremio until April 2026, when he turns 18. Chelsea have been keen on signing Mec since their takeover by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital in 2022, and have finally agreed on terms with Gremio.
