“A massive demonstration, dubbed the EndBadGovernance protest, has engulfed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja, drawing an estimated one million participants.
The protest, which commenced on August 1, is set to culminate today, August 10, as part of a nationwide campaign to decry the high cost of living.
Organizers had vowed to mobilize a million-person protest across all 36 states and the nation’s capital, marking the grand finale of the hunger protest.
As the demonstration reached its climax on Saturday morning, protesters flooded the streets, wielding placards and chanting slogans such as “we are hungry” to express their discontent with the current state of affairs.”
