Funke Akindele Paid Me N190,000, Not N90,000 – Ijoba Lande Cries Out
Controversial Nollywood actor Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has retracted his statement regarding the payment he received from popular actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele.
Initially, Lande claimed that he was paid a meager N90,000 after working on her movie set for a month.
However, in a video message released on Friday, he clarified that the actual amount he received was N190,000.
Lande explained that the mix-up arose from poorly edited footage of the video in which he made the original claim. He expressed his remorse and begged for forgiveness from Akindele, emphasizing that it was never his intention to defame her.
Speaking in Yoruba, Lande said,
“Funke Akindele gave me N190,000 not N90,000. Please help me to beg aunty Funke. Aunty Funke, there was a mix up in my earlier video. The video was cut-and-join. I meant to say N190,000, not N90,000.
“People posted where I made a mistake and not the full video where I corrected the mistake. Please, forgive me. I don’t want to go to jail. I didn’t mean to defame to you.”
