Controversial relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO,
has shared her perspective on why many marriages today are struggling to survive.

Speaking during a recent interview, she pointed out that the erosion of traditional support systems and
the rise of social media have made it harder for couples to resolve conflicts and stay united.
According to her, modern women’s exposure and independence have played dual roles in marriages — empowering yet sometimes disruptive. She stressed that many women fail to strike a balance between their personal growth and their roles in relationships.
Blessing CEO stated that when a woman becomes too assertive or starts to ‘rub shoulders’ with her husband, it could create feelings of insecurity — not from her success, but from the perceived threat to his masculinity.
“No man is intimidated by your success,” she said, “They are only afraid of the masculinity that sometimes comes with it.” She advised women to remain soft and feminine to preserve harmony in the home.
She warned that men who feel overpowered in their homes might turn to other women or walk out of the marriage entirely.
