Veteran Actor Clem Ohameze Takes Legal Action Over False Stroke Rumors

Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has taken decisive action against false rumors about his health circulating on social media.
A Facebook user named Okwulora had falsely claimed that Clem Ohameze suffered a stroke and was abandoned by his sons, leaving only his daughter to care for him. These claims quickly spread online, causing distress to the actor and his family.

In a tearful video, Clem Ohameze denied the allegations, stating that he has never granted any interview making such claims and clarified that he does not even have three sons as suggested.
He lamented the continuous spread of fake news regarding his health, including previous false reports of his death.

The actor confirmed that he has taken legal steps against Okwulora, describing the matter as cybercrime.
He explained that he contacted a friend, who is a director at the DSS, and has since initiated a case with the Police to ensure accountability.
Expressing his frustration, he said: “If you want cheap popularity, go get it somewhere else. I will not allow some idiot tarnish my image just to attract traffic. The other time, they said I was dead.
Now, it is stroke. Who did I grant the interview to? Do I have three sons? What nonsense is this?”
He further noted that he had to reassure his family, particularly his daughter who came across the rumors, emphasizing how damaging such false stories can be. Clem Ohameze vowed to pursue justice to protect his reputation and put an end to malicious fabrications about him.
