Davido Claps Back at Trolls, Says He’ll Be a Vulcaniser in His Next Life

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido, son of billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke, has once again stirred online conversations with his bold clapback to critics who mock his privileged background.
Taking to his official X account, Davido addressed trolls upset about him flying private jets, which belong to his father. The singer unapologetically declared that enjoying such luxury is his birthright, regardless of public opinion.
He wrote: “This free jet wey I dey fly all around the world dey really pain una. I’m sorry it’s my birth right. In my next life, I go come back as vulcaniser. Ma binu.”
The award-winning musician sarcastically added that he would return in his next life as a vulcaniser, poking fun at those downplaying his success due to his family’s wealth.
This isn’t the first time Davido has addressed such criticisms. He has often pointed out that despite his wealthy background, he has worked hard to earn his spot in the competitive Nigerian music scene.
In previous interviews, Davido revealed that many in the industry dislike him simply because of where he comes from. Yet, he continues to dominate global charts and sell out shows worldwide.
Whether flaunting jets or selling out stadiums, Davido remains one of Nigeria’s most talked-about music exports.
