The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully recovered a stolen Toyota Corolla, registration number ABC 258 LD, which was taken at gunpoint in Abuja on May 2nd along the Kuje-Airport road.
Following a thorough investigation, the vehicle was tracked down and recovered on Saturday, August 17, at Ifego Guest Inn in the Jabi area of Abuja. According to a statement issued by FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspected armed robber, Michael Uke, was apprehended during the recovery operation.
Notably, the suspect had attempted to conceal the car’s identity by replacing its original registration number with a new one, AGD 146 JP.
A search of the suspect’s possessions revealed a POS machine, a knife, glass dissolving chemicals, a military jungle hat, and the car’s original registration number, further implicating him in the crime.”
