I got back to the apartment just before dawn.

I pulled out her diary — the one that started all this.

This time, I didn’t just flip to the last page.

I tore it out.

The paper burned quickly in the sink, but something strange happened — the flame turned blue.

And suddenly, my phone rang.

Her name flashed on the screen.

She was calling me.

I picked up.

“Don’t say anything,” she said, her voice weak but calm.

“I’m safe now. For now. But they know you helped me. That means… they’re coming for you too.”

I asked where she was, but the line cut.

No sound.

No goodbye.

Just silence.

I looked down and noticed something in the sink. The ashes formed words:

“One story ends. Another begins.”
